Ryan works primarily out of Bear Creek Studio in Woodinville, WA. Bear Creek is nestled in ten acres of northwest Washington woods. The studio, a converted late 19th century barn, has one of the largest recording rooms in Seattle. Its 32 foot ceiling contributes to the enviable room sound. Additional recording space in the “wood room” and three isolation rooms allows for visual contact during full band multi-track recording. The treehouse, added to the property in 2014, is an additional writing, recording, and mixing station.
Bear Creek carries a variety of gear, including vintage mics, instruments, outboard gear, and tape as well as digital recording options. The integration of new and vintage technology provides a vast array of creative possibilities in the recording process. Located just 20 miles northeast of Seattle, Bear Creek has a relaxed environment that allows for creative exploration and collaboration. Musicians often live at Bear Creek while recording, finding inspiration in its musical history. Bear Creek offers an industry-leading and personalized recording experience, and is considered by many a home away from home.
